Agustina Bantiloc
Agustina Maximo Bantiloc (born August 8, 1968) is a Filipino para-archer. She is also formerly competed in powerlifting and para-athletics. She took part at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris as a para-archer. Career Archery Bantiloc would first take up powerlifting in 2003, before shifting to para-archery in 2011. She would frequently train under John Hongitan, who is the national coach for the para-archery of the Philippines since that year. Archery coach Arthur Tampua would convince her of the switch. She would represent the Philippines internationally and would play in the 2011 edition of the ASEAN Para Games. She would compete in 2014 edition. Bantiloc won two bronzes in that two iterations. She was to compete in the 2015 edition, but was disqualified over technicalities regarding the type of wheelchair she was using. 2014 ASEAN Para Games
The 2014 ASEAN Para Games, officially known as the 7th ASEAN Para Games, was a Southeast Asian disabled multi-sport event held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar three weeks after the closing of the 2013 Southeast Asian Games from 14 to 20 January 2014. This was the first time Myanmar hosted the ASEAN Para Games. Myanmar is the sixth country to host the ASEAN Para Games after Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. Around 1482 athletes participated at the games which featured 359 events in 12 sports. It was opened by Vice President of Myanmar, Sai Mauk Kham at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium. The final medal tally was led by Indonesia, followed by Thailand and Malaysia with host Myanmar in fifth place. Several Games and National records were broken during the games. Jane Karla Rodrigues Gögel (born 6 July 1975) is a Brazilian para archer and former para table tennis player who competed in five Paralympic Games from 2008 to 2024. She started her career in 2003. Starting in table tennis Gögel started her career in 2003 when she was invited to try different sports. She loved table tennis and so started to practise. When she got better she started winning national tournaments and participating at international tournaments. At the Parapan Championships in 2005 she won her first medals and qualified for the World Championships 2006. Ernie Agat Gawilan is a Filipino swimmer who competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics, 2020 Summer Paralympics and was the first gold medalist for the Philippines in the Asian Para Games. Early life Gawilan was born in the Paquibato district of Davao City with Phocomelia, underdeveloped extremities resulting to him lacking both legs and an underdeveloped left limb due to surviving an attempted abortion and poor pre-natal healthcare in the Marilog District of Davao City. He was orphaned at the young age after his father left him. His mother died of cholera when he was still five months old and his father left Ernie and his mother after the patriarch discovered his mother's infidelity.
