Kasganj
Kasganj is a city, or ''nagar,'' and the district headquarters of Kasganj district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The district was formed by grouping three tehsils on 17 April 2008. History Kasganj, which lies in the historical region of Braj, was also known as "Khasganj" during Mughal and British periods. According to ''Imperial Gazetteer of India Vol. XV'' (1908) by William Wilson Hunter, Kasganj came in the hands of James V. Gardner, who was employed by the Marathas and later by the British service. Gardner later died in Chhaoni, Kasganj. Gardner's father Colonel William Linnaeus Gardner was also stationed there. William Gardner built his estate in Kasganj after retiring from the army. Harnath Singh Yadav
Harnath Singh Yadav (born 1 April 1941) is an Indian politician. He is a former Member of Parliament, representing Uttar Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha the upper house of Parliament of India, India's Parliament representing the Bharatiya Janata Party. He also served as a Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from Agra Graduates constituency, Uttar Pradesh from 1996 to 2008. He hails from Gopalpur village of Mainpuri district. Harnath Singh Yadav is a former MLC who hails from Mainpuri and later moved to Etah. A former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, RSS zila pracharak, he later served as BJP state general secretary. He is considered close to former CM Kalyan Singh. He was elected an MLC as an independent in 1996 and later with Samajwadi Party support in 2002 from Agra (Graduates constituency), Agra Graduates constituency.
