Agnes Ward White
Agnes Ward White (1857–1943) was the wife of former West Virginia Governor Albert B. White and served as that state's First Lady, 1901–1905. She was born in 1857 at Marietta, Ohio. In 1879, she married Albert B. White. The Whites lived at Parkersburg, West Virginia Parkersburg is a city in Wood County, West Virginia, United States, and its county seat. Located at the confluence of the Ohio River, Ohio and Little Kanawha River, Little Kanawha rivers, it is the state's List of municipalities in West Virginia ..., where Albert was publisher of the ''State Journal.'' She was one of the most private first ladies and shunned the role of hostess. Marietta is a city in Washington County, Ohio, United States, and its county seat. Myra Horner Camden Atkinson
Myra Horner Camden Atkinson (July 21, 1844 – April 13, 1925) was the wife of former Virginia Governor George W. Atkinson and served as that state's First Lady, 1897-1901. She was born July 21, 1844, at Lumberport, West Virginia. Her father Horner was locally prominent. Her first husband was Davis. After the American Civil War, she married for the second time, to Judge Gideon D. Camden, who had sympathized with the Confederacy, became a member of the West Virginia Senate as well as become quite wealthy investing in land and minerals in what became West Virginia during the war. Judge Camden died in 1891. In June 1897, shortly after George W. Atkinson became governor, the widower married the twice-widowed Myra. Maude Brown Dawson
Maude Brown Dawson (1874–1946) was the wife of former Governor of West Virginia William M. O. Dawson and served as that state's First Lady, 1909-1913. She was born April 29, 1874, in Preston County, West Virginia; the first governor's wife born in West Virginia after statehood. In 1899, Maude Brown became the second wife of William M. O. Dawson and stepmother to his 18-year-old son, Daniel Dawson. In 1901, she bore to William M. O. Dawson a daughter, Leah Jane Dawson. This child was 7 years old when William Dawson became governor and Maude became first lady of the state. While first lady, Maude bore a son, William Brown Dawson, on September 2, 1912.
