Agetinus Aequalis
''Agetinus'' is a genus of leaf beetles in the subfamily Eumolpinae. It is known from Australia. The genus was originally named ''Agetus'' by Félicien Chapuis in 1874. However, the name ''Agetus'' was preoccupied by ''Agetus'' Kröyer, 1849 (in Crustacea), so the genus was renamed to ''Agetinus'' by Édouard Lefèvre in 1885. Édouard Lefèvre
Édouard Lefèvre (22 January 183917 June 1894) was a French botanist and later entomologist who specialised in Coleoptera Beetles are insects that form the Taxonomic rank, order Coleoptera (), in the superorder Holometabola. Jean Baptiste Boisduval
Jean Baptiste Alphonse Déchauffour de Boisduval (24 June 1799 – 30 December 1879) was a French lepidopterist, botanist, and physician. He was one of the most celebrated lepidopterists of France, and was the co-founder of the Société entomologique de France. While best known abroad for his work in entomology, he started his career in botany, collecting a great number of French plant specimens and writing broadly on the topic throughout his career, including the textbook ''Flores française'' in 1828. Early in his career, he was interested in Coleoptera and allied himself with both Jean Théodore Lacordaire and Pierre André Latreille. He was the curator of the Pierre Françoise Marie Auguste Dejean collection in Paris and described many species of beetles, as well as butterflies and moths, resulting from the voyages of the ''Astrolabe'', the expedition ship of Jean-François de Galaup, comte de La Pérouse and the '' Coquille'', that of Louis Isidore Duperrey. Chrysomelidae Genera
The beetle family (biology), family Chrysomelidae, commonly known as leaf beetles, includes over 37,000 (and probably at least 50,000) species in more than 2,500 Genus, genera, making it one of the largest and most commonly encountered of all beetle families. Numerous subfamilies are recognized, but the precise taxonomy and systematics are likely to change with ongoing research. Leaf beetles are partially recognizable by their tarsal formula, which appears to be 4-4-4, but is actually 5-5-5 as the fourth tarsal segment is very small and hidden by the third. As with many taxa, no single character defines Chrysomelidae; instead, the family is delineated by a set of characters. Some lineages are only distinguished with difficulty from longhorn beetles (family Cerambycidae), namely by the antenna (biology), antennae not arising from frontal tubercles. Members of former chrysomelid subfamilies (Orsodacnidae and Megalopodidae) are also difficult to differentiate from true chrysomelids. ...

Australian Faunal Directory
The Australian Faunal Directory is an online catalogue of taxonomic and biological information on all animal species known to occur within Australia. It is a database produced by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water of the Government of Australia. By May 12, 2021, the directory had collected information on about 126,442 species and subspecies In Taxonomy (biology), biological classification, subspecies (: subspecies) is a rank below species, used for populations that live in different areas and vary in size, shape, or other physical characteristics (Morphology (biology), morpholog .... It includes the data from the discontinued ''Zoological Catalogue of Australia'' and is regularly updated. Started in the 1980s, its goal is compile a "list of all Australian fauna including terrestrial vertebrates, ants and marine fauna" and create an "Australian biotaxonomic information system".''Commonwealth Record'', Volume 5, issues 26–34, p. 1282.
