Age Of Electric
The Age of Electric was a Canadian rock band founded in 1989 with members from Lanigan and Regina, Saskatchewan. The members were Todd Kerns (vocals/guitar), Ryan Dahle (guitar/backing vocals), John Kerns (bass), and Kurt Dahle (drums/backing vocals). History The Age of Electric band was conceived by Todd Kerns and Kurt Dahle circa 1986 and was born in April 1989, after waiting for their two younger brothers, John Kerns and Ryan Dahle, to graduate high school. The Dahle brothers traveled two hours north from their home in Regina, Saskatchewan to the Kerns brothers small home town of Lanigan. The band's commercial breakthrough came with their independent EP ''Ugly'' in 1993, which set the stage for the major label release of their self-titled album in 1995. The monthly ''Exclaim!'' print magazine publishes seven issues per year, distributing over 103,000 copies to over 2,600 locations across Canada. Zuckerbaby is an Alberta-based rock band that had some success in Canada during the late 1990s. The band formed out of local Calgary groove band Calliope. The band was known for its power pop influences and the thick lead guitar sounds of Reed Shimozawa, an alumnus of Calgary-based hair metal band Smash L.A. "Andromeda", "Heavy" and "Shampoo" were singles released from their debut, self-titled album. Their second CD "Platinum Again" was released in 2000 and two singles were released from it ; "Overexposure" and "Holiday". The band was dropped from its label when Mercury Records was reorganized under Universal Music. Slash is an American hard rock musician. Best known as the lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses (1985–1996 and 2016–present) and Velvet Revolver (2002–2008), he began his solo career in 2009 with the recording of his eponymous debut album. The album featured a range of musicians and vocalists, with the core rhythm section made up of bassist Chris Chaney and drummer Josh Freese. In promotion of the release, Slash toured throughout 2010 and 2011 with vocalist Myles Kennedy (who had recorded two songs for the album), rhythm guitarist Bobby Schneck, bassist Todd Kerns and drummer Brent Fitz. Saul Hudson (born July 23, 1965), known professionally as Slash, is an American musician, best known as the lead guitarist of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and mid-1990s. Slash has received critical acclaim and is considered one of the greatest guitarists in history. Born in Hampstead, London, Slash moved to Los Angeles with his father when he was six years old. His parents were both active in the entertainment industry, and he was given the nickname Slash as a child by actor Seymour Cassel.
