''Agathinai'' is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film starring Mahima, Aadukalam Naren and newcomer Varma. The film follows the bond between a father and his daughter. Plot The daughter, Karthika, and her father develop a close relationship after the mother passes away. The daughter falls in love with a man, Ayyanaar, who is also a servant who works for Karthika's family, after he saves her one-day when she falls in a well while riding on her motorcycle. However, the daughter is engaged to another man. Whom she marries and the issues that arise forms the rest of the story. Mahima Nambiar
Mahima Nambiar is an Indian actress who appears in Tamil and Malayalam films. Early life and career Nambiar hails from Kasaragod, Kerala. In 2014, she was pursuing a BA in English Literature privately. She is a trained classical dancer and a singer. At age 15, she made her acting debut in the Malayalam film ''Kaaryasthan'', playing Dileep's sister, with Mahima calling it a "blink and miss role". She was working as an advertisement model, when director Samy tried to cast her for ''Sindhu Samaveli'' (2010) but she had to decline the offer for personal reasons. Vasu, popularly known as Halwa Vasu, (died 17 August 2017) was a comedian in the Tamil film industry in India. He worked in around 900 films. Career Vasu who hailed from Madurai district, came to Chennai to work in cinemas after his graduation. Vasu worked as an assistant to director-actor Manivannan, he carved a niche for himself in comedy films and has also acted alongside the likes of Vadivelu. He was given the name "Halwa Vasu" after the film '' Amaidhi Padai'' (1994), in which he brings halwa which is adulterated with abin, a drug, by the antagonist in the movie who uses it to rape an innocent girl.
