''Adrianne and the Castle'' is a 2024 Canadian documentary film, directed by Shannon Walsh. Premise The film profiles Alan St. George, a man who maintains his home in rural Illinois as a shrine to his late wife Adrianne, including musical re-enactments of scenes from their earlier lives together performed by actors Nathan McDonald and SLee. Release The film premiered at the 2024 SXSW festival, and had its Canadian premiere at the 2024 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. Shannon Walsh
Shannon Walsh is a Canadian filmmaker, writer and scholar. She has directed the feature documentaries ''The Gig Is Up'', ''H2Oil'' , ''À St-Henri, le 26 août'', ''Jeppe on a Friday'' and ''Illusions of Control''. She has also directed music videos for the Montreal based artist Little Scream. Walsh, who was born in London, Ontario, is also an academic, and teaches film production at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Theatre and Film. She is the author of ''The Documentary Filmmaker's Intuition: Creating Ethical and Impactful Non-fiction Films''. She is also the co-editor of the books ''Ties that Bind: Race and the Politics of Friendship in South Africa'', and ''In My Life: Stories from activists in South Africa 2002-2022''. 2024 Documentary Films
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern. The Arabs' 4 still had the early concept of the cross, but for the sake of efficiency, was made in one stroke by connecting the "western" end to the "northern" end; the "eastern" end was finished off with a curve. Fantasia International Film Festival, also known as Fantasia Fest or simply Fantasia, is a genre film festival that has been based mainly in Montreal since its founding in 1996. The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is the largest documentary festival in North America. The event takes place annually in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 27th edition of the festival took place online throughout May and June 2020. Ina Fichman is a Canadian film producer and president of Intuitive Pictures, based in Montreal. She is best known for the 2022 film ''Fire of Love''. She won the Gemini Award for Best History Documentary Program for ''Undying Love'' in 2003.
