''Adeia whitneyi'', common name Whitney's bristleweed, is a North American species of shrub in the daisy family. It has been found only in the state of California in the western United States. ''Adeia whitneyi'' is a perennial herb or subshrub up to tall. The plant produces numerous flower heads in a dense, elongated array at the top of the plant. Astereae is a tribe of plants in the family Asteraceae that includes annuals, biennials, perennials, subshrubs, shrubs, and trees. They are found primarily in temperate regions of the world.
