VStar Entertainment Group is a family entertainment production company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It produced Sesame Street Live, a live touring stage show based on the television series. Care Bears Live
Care Bears are multi-colored bears, originally painted in 1981 by artist Elena Kucharik to be used on greeting cards from American Greetings. In 1983, the characters were turned into plush teddy bears. The characters headlined their own television series called ''Care Bears'' from 1985 to 1988. They also made three feature films: ''The Care Bears Movie'' (1985), '' Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation'' (1986), and ''The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland'' (1987). Each Care Bear is a different colour or shade and has a unique "picture on the stomach" that represents its personality. Adding to the Care Bear family are the "Care Bear Cousins", which feature Brave Heart Lion, Cozy Heart Penguin, Bright Heart Raccoon, Lotsa Heart Elephant, Gentle Heart Lamb, Loyal Heart Dog, Playful Heart Monkey, Proud Heart Cat, Swift Heart Rabbit, Treat Heart Pig and Noble Heart Horse created in the same style as the Care Bears. ''Max & Ruby'' is a Canadian children's animated television series produced by Nelvana Limited based on the book series by Rosemary Wells. The series debuted on Treehouse TV on May 3, 2002, in Canada and on Nick Jr. on October 21, 2002, in the United States. Premise ''Max & Ruby'' is about two bunnies: Max, a rambunctious and achievement-determined three-year-old and his sister Ruby, a seldom-patient, goal-oriented and sometimes, annoyingly-restrictive seven-year-old. ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers World Tour Live on Stage'' (also known as ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Live'') was a live stage show featuring the second season team of the '' Mighty Morphin Power Rangers'' (Tommy Oliver as the White Ranger, Rocky DeSantos, Adam Park, Aisha Campbell, Billy Cranston, and Kimberly Hart). It tells how the Power Rangers defeat Lord Zedd's plans to take over the Earth while trying to defeat Lumintor, The Fire Lion. Unlike the Sentai stage shows that feature the actual actors from the series, this show incorporates stage actors in the Power Ranger suits playing out with pre-recorded audio. None of the actual actors are seen on stage aside from video footage played on a screen. ''Pokémon Live!'' was a musical stage show that toured the United States from September 15, 2000 to January 28, 2001. The musical was based on the ''Pokémon'' anime series, using similar characters, clothing, and story elements. The show uses songs previously released on the ''Pokémon'' anime soundtracks '' Pokémon 2BA Master'' and '' Totally Pokémon'' as well as original songs. Approximately 90 minutes in length, it told the story of Ash Ketchum, Misty and Brock as they travel to a contest to win the much sought-after Diamond Badge. The event turns out to be part of a plan by the evil organization Team Rocket and its diabolical leader Giovanni to take over the world. ''Sesame Street Live'' is a live touring show based on the children's television show '' Sesame Street'' produced by Feld Entertainment. History The VEE Corporation was started in March 1980 by founder Vincent Egan, who had an idea to produce a live-character show based on ''Sesame Street''. He had worked for the Ice Follies tour, which had a segment featuring Muppets. Egan approached Jim Henson's company and Children's Television Workshop, who were interested. With outside funding, Vee was able to sign a licensing agreement with the Children's Television Workshop for the characters. The first ''Sesame Street Live'' show opened in September 1980 at the Metropolitan Sports Center in Bloomington, Minnesota for a successful five-day run.
