Adam Walker was born in Retford, Nottinghamshire in 1987. He is an English flautist. Early life Walker taught himself to play the flute at the age of 9. In 1996, he went to study at Chetham's School of Music, with Gitte Sorensen. In 2002, at the age of 14, he became the youngest ever winner of the British Flute Society Competition. In 2003 he won the Royal Over-Seas League prize for the woodwind player with the most promise and in 2004 was a Concerto Finalist in the BBC Young Musicians Competition (performing Nielsen's Flute Concerto with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ilan Volkov at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh). Adam Richard Walker (born 22 January 1991) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Walker made his professional debut for Coventry City on 28 December 2008 as a substitute in a 2–0 Football League Championship win against Sheffield Wednesday. He made his second appearance in a 0–0 draw against Charlton Athletic at the Ricoh Arena. Walker joined Nuneaton Town on loan on 28 October 2009, before joining them on a permanent deal on 1 April 2010 after being released by Coventry City. After a successful term at Brackley Town, Walker joined National League North rivals AFC Telford United in May 2019 on a one year deal. Adam Walker (born 14 July 1986 in Kirkcaldy, Fife) is a Scottish professional ice hockey player. He is currently the player-head coach of the Paisley Pirates of the Scottish National League. He previously in the British Elite Ice Hockey League for the Cardiff Devils, Manchester Phoenix and the Braehead Clan. Adam Walker (1730/31 – 11 February 1821) was an English writer and inventor. He gave lectures on astronomy, aided by one of his inventions, the eidouranion. Life Walker was born in Patterdale in Westmorland, the son of a woollen manufacturer. He left school almost before he could read, but continued to study on his own. He borrowed books, and occupied his leisure in constructing models of neighbouring corn mills, paper mills and fulling mills. His reputation as a student at the age of fifteen procured him the post of usher at Ledsham school in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Three years later he was appointed writing-master and accountant at the Free School in Macclesfield, where he studied mathematics and produced his first publication, ''A System of Family Bookkeeping, with a Ready Ruled Book'' (1758).
