Act Of Defiance
Act of Defiance was an American heavy metal supergroup from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2014 by guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover of Megadeth after they both resigned from the band on the same day, vocalist Henry Derek (ex-Scar the Martyr and ex- Thrown into Exile) and bassist Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall guitarist and current Living Wreckage bassist). In 2019, guitarist Chris Broderick joined In Flames as a touring member. During the length of the Covid-19 pandemic Act of Defiance stayed inactive. Through an interview in July 2023, Shawn Drover stated that the band had come to a close at point of Chris Broderick joining In Flames as a permanent member. In Flames is a Swedish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band, formed by guitarist Jesper Strömblad in Gothenburg in 1990 out of the Swedish death metal, Swedish death metal scene. Their lineup has changed several times, with vocalist Anders Fridén and guitarist Björn Gelotte being the only consistent members since 1995. Since the departure of Strömblad in 2010, no original members remain with the band. In Flames helped pioneer melodic death metal along with fellow Swedish bands At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity. Shadows Fall is an American metalcore band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1996. Although Shadows Fall has experienced several line-up changes, for most of its recording career, Shadows Fall has been composed of guitarists Jon Donais and Matt Bachand, bassist Paul Romanko, lead vocalist Brian Fair and drummer Jason Bittner.
