Acala or Achala is a guardian deity primarily revered in Vajrayana Buddhism in Japan, China and elsewhere. Achala Sachdev
Achala Sachdev (3 May 1920 – 30 April 2012) was an Indian actress who appeared in classic films of Hindi language film industry, who started her career as a child actor. She later became known for mother and grandmother roles in Hindi films. Her most memorable roles were as Balraj Sahni's wife in '' Waqt'' (1965) and Kajol's grandmother in '' Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'' (1995). Achal Das Bohra (23 December 1918 – 17 February 2007) was an Indian engineer, academician, author, educator and philanthropist. Bohra, affectionately known as "Papaji" and "Bohra Saab", was a leader of the Pushkarna Brahmin community in Rajasthan and a tireless advocate of women's rights and the balance of modernity and traditional Hindu philosophical thought. Achala Moulik
Achala Moulik (born 1 July 1941 in Calcutta, India) is an Indian writer and former bureaucrat who served as Education Secretary to the Government of India, Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India from 1993 to 1994 and Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka from January to June 2001. Achala Fort
Achala Fort is a westernmost fort in the Satmala hill range. It is located 55 km from Nashik, in Nashik district, of Maharashtra. This fort is adjoining the Ahivant Fort. The three forts Achala, Ahivant, and Mohandar are very close by. The Achala and Mohandar forts were constructed to guard the Ahivant fort. Captain Briggs has described it as a large hill, whose ascent is very easy till it reaches the top where it is very steep. History In 1636 this fort was under the control of Adilshah. The Moghul Emperor Shahjahan sent one of his generals, Shaista Khan, and instructed him to win all the forts in Nashik region. Alivardi Khan was a cavalier of Shaista Khan who won the fort.
