Helen Hayes MacArthur (; October 10, 1900 – March 17, 1993) was an American actress. Joan Cushing (August 18, 1946 – May 21, 2024) was a political satirist and playwright. She is best known for her character Mrs. Foggybottom, a wise-cracking socialite, society woman who wittily mocked Washington, D.C. as part of her cabaret shows and other appearances from the 70s through the mid-90s.
