Abud
Aboud ( ar, عابود, ''ʿĀbūd'') is a Palestinian village in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate of the State of Palestine, in the central West Bank, northwest of Ramallah and 30 kilometers north of Jerusalem. Nearby towns include al-Lubban to the northeast and Bani Zeid to the northwest. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the village had a population of approximately 2,084 inhabitants in 2007. In 1870 the French explorer Victor Guérin found that Aboud contained 800 inhabitants, half Greek Orthodox and half Muslims, while an Ottoman village list of about the same year showed that Aboud had 225 Muslims with 69 houses, and 170 Greek Orthodox with 66 houses, though the population count included men only. In 1882, the PEF's '' Survey of Western Palestine'' described the village as "a large and flourishing Christian village, of stone, the houses nearly all marked with the Cross in red paint," with a population of 400 Orthodox Christians and 100 Mu ...

Ghindari
Ghindari ( hu, Makfalva, Hungarian pronunciation: ; german: Eicheldorf) is a commune in Mureș County, Romania. It lies in the Székely Land, an ethno-cultural region in eastern Transylvania. Component villages The commune is composed of five villages: Trei Sate village, in its turn, is composed of three hamlets: Cioc (''Csókfalva''), Hotești (''Atosfalva''), and Ștefănești (''Székelyszentistván''). History Until 1918, the villages belonged to the Maros-Torda County of the Kingdom of Hungary. After the Hungarian–Romanian War of 1918–19 and the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, the area became part of the Romania. In 2004, Chibed broke away to form an independent commune. Demographics The commune has an absolute Székely Hungarian majority. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of 3,250, of which 88.43% are Hungarian and 7.08% Roma. Chaim Shaul Abud
Chaim Shaul Abud (Hebrew: ; 1890–1977) was an Israeli poet, rabbi, educator, and philanthropist. Abud was the author of the book "''Shirayi Zimra Ha-Shalem''", which combines the poetry of ''Baqashot'' form the Jewish community of Aleppo (''halab or aram tzoba)'' and songs that he wrote himself. He also served as founder and director of several Torah schools in Jerusalem. Early life and education Abud was born in Aleppo, Syria to a family of rabbis, his father Rabbi Avraham Abud, and his grandfather Rabbi Eliyahu Abud. In his youth, he studied the Torah, Halakhha, and poetry of ''Baqashot,'' among the rabbis of Aleppo. Career In 1907, he relocated to Buenos Aires to serve as a cantor ''(Hazzan)'' and a school teacher in the Jewish community of the city.
