Abu'l-Fadl (other)
Abu al-Fadl or Abu'l-Fadl ( ar, ابو الفضل) is an Arabic male given name which also occurs in place-names. It means ''father of virtue''. It is variously transliterated as Abu'l-Fadl, Abu'l-Fazl, Abul Fazal etc. It is also used in Iran and Azerbaijan, usually in the form of Abolfazl, or Abulfaz. Khaled Abou el Fadl ( ar, خالد أبو الفضل, ) (born October 23, 1963) is the Omar and Azmeralda Alfi Distinguished Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law where he has taught courses on International Human Rights, Islamic jurisprudence, National Security Law, Law and Terrorism, Islam and Human Rights, Political Asylum, and Political Crimes and Legal Systems. He is also the founder of the Usuli Institute, a non-profit public charity dedicated to research and education to promote humanistic interpretations of Islam, as well as the Chair of the Islamic Studies Program at the University of California, Los Angeles. Iyad Ag Ghaly ( ar, اياد اغ غالي, sometimes romanised as Ag Ghali), also known as Abū al-Faḍl ( ar, أبو الفضل ), is a Tuareg militant from Mali's Kidal Region. He has been active in Tuareg rebellions against the Malian government since the 1980s – particularly in the early 1990s. In 1988, founded the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Azawad. In the latest episode of the Tuareg upheavals in 2012, he featured as the founder and leader of the Islamist militant group Ansar Dine. Abulfaz Elchibey ( az, Əbülfəz Elçibəy; 24 June 1938, in Nakhchivan – 22 August 2000, in Ankara) was an Azerbaijani political figure and a former Soviet dissident. His real name was Abulfaz Gadirgulu oghlu Aliyev (Azerbaijani: ''Əbülfəz Qədirqulu oğlu Əliyev''), but he assumed the nickname of "Elçibəy" (Azerbaijani for the "''noble messenger''") upon his leadership of the Azerbaijani Popular Front in 1990. Abul Fazal (writer)
Abul Fazal (1 July 1903–4 May 1983) was a Bangladeshi writer and academic. He served as the 4th vice-chancellor of University of Chittagong. He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1962 and Independence Day Award in 2012 (posthumously). Early life and education Fazal was born at Satkania Upazila in Chittagong District in 1903 to Moulvi Fazlur Rahman, an Imam of Chittagong Jame Masjid. Fazal earned B.A. from the University of Dhaka. He passed M.A. in Bengali language and literature from Calcutta University in 1940. Career Fazal began his career as an Imam. He taught in multiple schools as a teacher. Mirza Abul Fazl ( bn, মির্জা আবুল ফজল; 1865 - 1956), was a native of East Bengal, now independent Bangladesh, later moved to Allahabad, India. Life Mirza was the great grandson of Haji Ali Shirazi. His genealogical tree as described in his dictionary of the Qur'an, Ghrib ul Quran is Mirza Abul Fazl, son of Fayyaz Ali, son of Nauroz Ali son of Haji Ali Shirazi. Mírzá Abu'l-Faḍl
Mírzá Muḥammad ( fa, ميرزا أبوالفضل), or Mírzá Abu'l-Faḍl-i-Gulpáygání (1844–1914), was the foremost Baháʼí scholar who helped spread the Baháʼí Faith in Egypt, Turkmenistan, and the United States. He is one of the few Apostles of Baháʼu'lláh who never actually met Baháʼu'lláh. His given name was Muhammad, and he chose the alias Abu'l-Faḍl (progenitor of virtue) for himself, but ʻAbdu'l-Bahá frequently addressed him as Abu'l-Fada'il (progenitor of virtues).
