Abhisheka
Abhisheka () means "bathing of the divinity to whom worship is offered." It is a religious rite or method of prayer in which a devotee pours a liquid offering on an image or murti of a God or Goddess. Abhisheka is common to Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Hinduism An abhiṣeka is conducted by priests by bathing the image of the deity being worshipped, amidst the chanting of mantras. Usually, offerings such as milk, yogurt, ghee, honey, panchamrita, sesame oil, rose water, sandalwood paste may be poured among other offerings depending on the type of abhishekam being performed. Abhishek Avasthi (born 17 March 1982) is an Indian actor, choreographer, dancer and model. Biography Abhishek Awasthi was born in Kanpur, India. He, along with Rakhi Sawant, an Indian model and actress, participated in the third season of ''Nach Baliye'', a reality dance show on Star Plus. They were among the top-two finalists and were declared the first runners-up on 22 December 2007. Soon after the show, they broke up. Abhishek Dhar (born 31 August 1970) is an Indian physicist specialising in statistical physics and condensed matter physics. He is a Professor in the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Bangalore.
