Abdullah Cevdet Karlıdağ
Abdullah Cevdet Bey (9 September 1869 – 29 November 1932) was a Young Turks, Young Turk intellectual and physician of Kurdish population, Kurdish origin. He was one of the founders of the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP) and wrote articles with pen name of "Bir Kürd" ("A Kurd") for the publications such as ''Meşveret'', ''Kurdistan (newspaper), Kurdistan'' and ''Roji Kurd'' about the East–West dichotomy and Kurds, Kurdish awakening and nationalism. In his personal publication ''İctihad'' he pushed for the westernization of society, feminism, workers rights, liberty, science, secularism, and social liberalism. He was an ideologue of the CUP until 1902, when he became an opponent of the organization he founded as it embraced Turkish nationalism. Arapgir
Arapgir (; ) is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Malatya Province, Turkey. Its area is 987 km2, and its population is 9,964 (2022). It is situated at the confluence of the eastern and western Euphrates, but some miles from the right bank of the combined streams. Roji Kurd
, lit. 'dewy ground', is the Japanese term used for the garden through which one passes to the ''chashitsu'' for the tea ceremony. The ''roji'' acts as a transitional space leading from the entry gate to the teahouse, and generally cultivates an air of simplicity and purification. Development The ''roji'' developed during the Momoyama era (1573–1603) as the tea ceremony established itself in Japan. Sen no Rikyū was important in the development of the ''roji''. At his tea house Tai-an, the 'sleeve-brushing pine' gained its name from the garden's diminutive size. For his tea house at Sakai, he planted hedges to obscure the view over the Inland Sea, and only when a guest bent over the ''tsukubai'' would they see the view.
