Abdul Nabi Salman
Abdul Nabi Salman Ahmed Nasser (, born in 1960 in A%27ali) is a Bahraini politician. He was sworn into the Council of Representatives on December 12, 2018 to represent the Sixth District of the Northern Governorate. Biography Salman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics from Bangalore University in 1981. He obtained a diploma in Sales and Marketing Development in 1989, a Higher Diploma in Management and Marketing in 1996, and specialized courses in public relations, promotion, and advertising. As the head of the Press and Publications Department at Gulf Air, he founded the airline’s union. He belongs to the Bahrain Economists Society and the Bahrain Transparency Society. In 2012, he was elected Secretary-General of the left-wing Progressive Democratic Tribune (Al-Minbar) party, succeeding Dr. Hassan Madan. The Council of Representatives (''Majlis an-nuwab''), sometimes translated as the "Chamber of Deputies", is the name given to the lower house of the Bahraini National Assembly, the national legislative body of Bahrain. The council was created by the 2002 Constitution of Bahrain and consists of forty members elected by universal suffrage. ''Al-Wasat'' (), also ''Alwasat'', was an Arabic-language daily newspaper in Manama, Bahrain. ''Al-Wasat'' was generally regarded as the only independent newspaper in Bahrain. Ahmed Sabah Salman Al-Salloum ( (born in Salmaniya) is a Bahraini politician, businessman, author, and columnist. He has served as a Member of Parliament since December 12, 2018, for the Fifth District of the Capital Governorate. Education He went to Al-Mutanabbi Primary Boys' School in Gudaibiya and Naim Secondary School. Earning top grades in physics and mathematics at the latter, he obtained a government scholarship to study electrical engineering at the University of Bahrain.
