Abdul Matin (poet)
Abdul Matin was Tahsildar and ‘Kamdar’ in the Bhopal state. He is a poet and author. Biography Abdul Matin was a poet and author as well as an able administrator. He gained mastery in many languages including Arabic, Persian, English and Turkish. ’ Abdul Matin 'Matin' was first appointed as Tahsildar and then promoted for the post of 'Kamdar' in the State of Bhopal. While, he was Tahsildar at Kalya Khera, Bhopal in 1908, he had literary correspondence with Alan Brooke, 1st Viscount Alanbrooke of Brookeborough (1883–1963). Abdul Matin (language Activist)
Abdul Matin (December 3, 1926 – October 8, 2014) was a language activist of the Bengali Language Movement that took place in the erstwhile East Pakistan (currently Bangladesh) to make Bengali one of the state language of Pakistan. He was one of the student leaders and organizers of the movement. His contribution to the movement has been hailed by the other activists and students as he was popularly known as Bhasha Matin. Early life Matin was born on 3 December 1926 to a Bengali Muslim parents Abdul Jalil and Amena Khatun in the village of Dubalia in Sirajganj, Pabna District, Bengal Presidency. Due to the Jamuna River floods, their home was destroyed and the family resettled in Darjeeling. Matin was then admitted into the Maharani Boys' High School. Dulmatin
Dulmatin (6 or 16 June 1970 – 9 March 2010) was a senior figure in the militant Islamic group Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) based in Indonesia, and one of the most wanted terrorists in Southeast Asia. Dulmatin was an ethnic Javanese with a height of 172 cm, weighing 70 kg, with a brown complexion. According to the ''Jakarta Globe'', when Dulmatin was a young man he attended a religious boarding school run by the founder of the Jemaah Islamiyah, Abu Bakar Bashir. Dulmatin had received training in al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan. He was believed to have been the protégé of Azahari Husin, under whose guidance Dulmatin became an electronics specialist and bomb making expert. He participated in the car bomb attack on the Philippine ambassador in Jakarta on 1 August 2000, and assembled the timers for the 38 Christmas 2000 church bombings in Indonesia which killed 19 people. Abdul Matin Chaudhury (; 1895–1948), also known by his daak naam Kola Mia (); and the epithet Jinnar Daain Haat (lit. ''Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Jinnah's right hand''); (also spelled Abdul Matin Chaudhary in English) was a Pakistani Bengali trade unionist, journalist, politician, and a member of the Pakistan Constituent Assembly as a representative of East Bengal. Early life and education Chaudhury was born on 13 February 1895 to a Bengali Muslim family in the mahalla of Fatehkhani in Bhadeswar pargana, Golapganj Upazila, Sylhet District, in the then Assam province. His father, Abdul Karim Chaudhury, was a sub-inspector of police and his mother, Habibunnesa Khatun, was a housewife.
