Aasá Language
The Asa (Aasá) language, commonly rendered Aasax (also rendered as Aasá, Aasáx, Aramanik, Asak, Asax, Assa, Asá), is an Afroasiatic languages, Afroasiatic language formerly spoken by the Asa people of Tanzania. The language is extinct language, extinct; ethnic Assa in northern Tanzania remember only a few words they overheard their elders use, and none ever used it themselves. Little is known of the language; what is recorded was probably Aasa lexical words used in a Linguistic register, register of Maasai language, Maasai, similar to the mixed language Mbugu language, Mbugu. Classification Asa is usually classified as Cushitic languages, Cushitic, most closely related to Kw'adza language, Kw'adza. However, it might have retained a non-Cushitic layer from an earlier language shift. The Aramanik (Laramanik) people once spoke Asa, but shifted to Nandi languages, Nandi (as opposed to Maasai). The Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA) is an organisation that promotes and administers motorsport in Australia founded in 2003. The AASA formed due to dissatisfaction with the governing body of Australian motorsport, the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS, now Motorsport Australia), and organises race meetings independent of Motorsport Australia. A wholly owned subsidiary of the Benalla Auto Club, who also own Winton Motor Raceway, the association sanctions motor sport in various categories. History The AASA was founded in 2003. The Australasian Animal Studies Association (AASA) is an Australian association of animal studies scholars, scientists, creative artists, and animal advocates. Aasa Buttar is a small village in the Giddarbaha Tehsil of Sri Muktsar Sahib district of Eastern Punjab. The village is dominated by the Jatt people of Buttar clan. Aasa Helgesen
Aasa Helgesen born Aasa Røinesdal (11 February 1877 – 29 April 1968) was a Norwegian midwife and politician. She served as mayor of Utsira from 1926 to 1928, and was the first female mayor in Norway. She worked as a midwife in Utsira from 1903 to 1942. Early years, family and midwife career Born at a small croft (Norwegian: ) Røinesdal in Bjelland, Southern Norway, she started working as a servant girl after finishing primary school. Wanting further education, she obtained a loan from a farmer she worked for and the local lensmann in order to go to Kristiania to become a midwife. Having finished the education in 1902, she got a position as midwife a year later at the small fishing island of Utsira in Western Norway. In 1907, she married local fisherman Sivert Helgesen.
