Aadesh-class Patrol Vessel
''Aadesh''-class patrol vessels are a series of twenty fast patrol vessels (FPVs) built for the Indian Coast Guard by Cochin Shipyard Limited at its shipyard in Kochi, Kerala. The ships have been designed by M/s Smart Engineering & Design Solutions (SEDS), Kochi. Design ''Aadesh''-class vessels have a length of , a beam of , and a draught of with a design speed of over . They are powered by Rolls-Royce Power Systems-supplied triple type 16V 4000 M90 engines with an output of at 2,100 rpm, coupled with ZF 7600 gearboxes and propelled by triple Rolls-Royce Kamewa 71S3NP water jets. Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL) is the largest shipbuilding and maintenance facility in India. Cochin Shipyard is part of a line of maritime-related facilities in the port-city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. The shipyard builds platform supply vessels and double-hulled oil tankers. An exclusive economic zone (EEZ), as prescribed by the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, is an area of the sea in which a sovereign state has exclusive rights regarding the exploration and use of marine natural resource, resources, including energy production from water and wind. It stretches from the outer limit of the territorial sea (22.224 kilometres or 12 nautical miles from the baseline) out 370.4 kilometres (or 200 nautical miles) from the coast of the state in question. Sagar Island
Sagar Island is an island in the Ganges delta, lying on the Continental Shelf, continental shelf of Bay of Bengal about 100 km (54 nautical miles) south of Kolkata. This island forms the Sagar (community development block), Sagar CD Block in Kakdwip subdivision of South 24 Parganas district in the Indian States and territories of India, State of West Bengal. The HAL Dhruv () is a utility helicopter designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in November 1984. The helicopter first flew in 1992; its development was prolonged due to multiple factors including the Indian Army's requirement for design changes, budget restrictions, and sanctions placed on India following the 1998 Pokhran-II nuclear tests. Dhruv entered service in 2002. Dornier 228
The Dornier 228 is a twin-turboprop STOL utility aircraft, designed and first manufactured by Dornier GmbH (later DASA Dornier, Fairchild-Dornier) from 1981 until 1998. 245 were built in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. In 1983, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) bought a production licence and manufactured another 125 aircraft in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. In July 2017, 63 aircraft were still in airline service. In 2009, RUAG started building a Dornier 228 New Generation in Germany. The fuselage, wings and tail unit are manufactured by HAL in Kanpur, India, and transported to Oberpfaffenhofen, where RUAG Aviation carries out aircraft final assembly. CGS ''Kamaruzzaman'' is a Leader-class offshore patrol vessel of the Bangladesh Coast Guard. She is serving the Bangladesh Coast Guard since 2020. History The ship was laid down on 26 June 1985 at Fincantieri and launched on 18 October 1986. She was commissioned to the Italian Navy as an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) corvette named ''Danaide'' (F 553) on 9 September 1987. On 10 March 2016, she was decommissioned from the Italian Navy and sold to the Bangladesh Coast Guard. The ship has gone through extensive refit at Fincantieri where the vessel was converted to an offshore patrol vessel. All sensors and armaments were removed from the ship and replaced by those that met Bangladesh Coast Guard requirements. Bangladesh Coast Guard
The Bangladesh Coast Guard (; BCG) is the maritime law enforcement force of Bangladesh. It is a paramilitary force which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Its officers and sailors are transferred from the Bangladesh Navy, and most of the medical officers are transferred from the Bangladesh Army.
