A Talent For Loving (film)
''A Talent for Loving'' is a 1969 British-American comedy Western film directed by Richard Quine and starring Richard Widmark, Chaim Topol, and Cesar Romero. It is based on the 1961 parodic Western novel '' A Talent for Loving'', or ''The Great Cowboy Race'' by Richard Condon, who also wrote the screenplay. The home video version of the film (Simitar Entertainment) is re-titled ''Gun Crazy'' and has been edited to 95 minutes. In December 1965, Walter Shenson offered ''A Talent for Loving'' to Brian Epstein as a film vehicle for The Beatles, and it was rejected unanimously. Plot A gambler named Patten wins the deed to a Mexican ranch, but finds a curse has been placed on the place. Don Jose must marry off his beautiful, nymphomaniacal daughter to permanently free her of the curse. Richard Quine
Richard Quine (November 12, 1920June 10, 1989) was an American director, actor, and singer. He began acting as a child in radio, vaudeville, and stage productions before being signed to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in his early twenties. When his acting career began to wane after World War II, Quine began working as a film director. He later moved into producing and directing television. Quine's films as director include '' Bell, Book and Candle'' (1958), '' The World of Suzie Wong'' (1960), '' Paris When It Sizzles'' (1964), '' How to Murder Your Wife'' (1965), and ''The Prisoner of Zenda'' (1979). Derek Robert Nimmo (19 September 1930 – 24 February 1999) was an English character actor, producer and author. He is best remembered for his comedic upper class "silly ass" and clerical roles, including Revd Mervyn Noote in the BBC1 sitcom ''All Gas and Gaiters'' (1966–71). Career Nimmo was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, the son of an insurance salesman, and grew up in Mossley Hill in an environment he described as "old merchants' houses, comfy English suburbia". Judd Douglas Hamilton is an American musician, former band leader, writer, film producer, and actor. He recorded for the Dolton, Liberty, American International, United Artists and RCA Victor labels. Libby Morris
Libby Morris (born 1932, Winnipeg) is a Canadian singer, comedienne and actress. She appeared in several CBC radio shows of the 1950s and moved into TV and film from the 1960s onward after she moved to London, England. She became a very well known theatre actor and cabaret performer as well as starring in her own TV show. Family Morris and her husband Murray Kash raised their daughter, Marcia Kash, in London, where they lived for many years. In the 80s she and Kash separated and he returned to Canada where he remained until he died in March 2009. They often participated in fundraising shows for the Stars Foundation for Cerebral Palsy.
