Evergrey
Evergrey is a Swedish progressive metal band from Gothenburg. History Evergrey was formed in 1993 in Gothenburg by guitarist/vocalist Tom S. Englund as a progressive power metal band, in contrast to the melodic death metal that Gothenburg is known for. Since then, the band's lyrics have always been of the darker sort, and the same can be said of the band's imagery. After finding a stable lineup, ''The Dark Discovery'' was recorded in 1996 and released in 1998, and '' Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy'' was recorded and released in 1999. While those two albums dealt with a variety of ideas, '' In Search of Truth'' (2001) and '' Recreation Day'' (2003) are concept albums, the latter album dealing with issues such as contemplating suicide ("As I Lie Here Bleeding"), mourners after a funeral ("I'm Sorry", a cover of Dilba Demirbag's hit), and dying people looking back on their "unforgivable" sins ("Unforgivable"). "Unforgivable" also acted as a catalyst for the next album, '' The Inn ...

Stora Teatern
Stora Teatern (popularly known as Storan) is a musical theater in the Lorensberg district of Gothenburg, Sweden. Inaugurated in 1859, it is situated in Kungsparken park south of Kungsportsplatsen. It was originally founded to replace the ''Segerlindska teatern'', and as such was known as ''Nya Theatern'' ('New Theatre') until 1880. The thirty-meter-high theater was inaugurated on September 15, 1859. During the first 60 years, this was mainly a dramatic theater featuring opera and operetta. In 1916, Stora Teatern became primarily a lyrical theater. On 17 March 2003, a lease agreement was signed between KIGAB (a company in the Higab group) and the Swedish Artists' and Musicians' Association, which gradually extended until 2023, with the possibility of extension. KIGAB had the interior of the building renovated for SEK 60 million and created a number of concert, party and conference rooms as well as a restaurant which since 2008 has been known as Grill Del Mundo. During the renovat ...

Progressive Metal
Progressive metal (often shortened to prog metal) is a broad fusion music genre melding heavy metal music, heavy metal and progressive rock, combining the loud "aggression" and amplified electric guitar, guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or quasi-classical compositions of the latter. The music typically showcases the extreme technical proficiency of the performers and usually uses unorthodox Chord progression, harmonies as well as complex rhythms with frequent Metre (music), meter changes and intense syncopation. The rhythmic aspects are especially emphasized in the djent subgenre. Although the genre emerged towards the late-1980s, it was not until the 1990s that progressive metal achieved widespread success.
