A Matter Of Time (Hilltop Hoods Album)
''A Matter of Time'' is the debut album by Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods, released in 1999. The promotion, manufacturing and marketing of the album was funded by a grant from the band's local government and resulted in the band once it became successful setting up its own grant scheme for South Australian hip hop musicians. The album is currently out of press, but is available as a free download from the Hilltop Hoods official site. The quote used in the song, "A Matter of Time", is taken from the 1994 movie ''The Shawshank Redemption'', where Morgan Freeman's character, Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding, says to Tim Robbins's character, Andrew "Andy" Dufresne, "That's all it takes, just pressure and time". Hilltop Hoods
Hilltop Hoods is an Australian hip hop group that formed in 1996 in Blackwood, Adelaide, South Australia. They are regarded as pioneers of the " larrikin-like" style of Australian hip hop. The group was founded by Suffa (Matthew David Lambert) and Pressure (Daniel Howe Smith), who were joined by DJ Debris (Barry John M. Francis) after fellow founder, DJ Next (Ben John Hare), left in 1999. Back Once Again (Hilltop Hoods)
''Back Once Again'' is the six-track debut extended play by the Australian hip hop group, Hilltop Hoods. It was released as a 12" vinyl EP in 1997 and, as from September 2015, is rare. The title track contains a vocal sample from " Bring the Noise" by Public Enemy. Hilltop Hoods formed in 1991 when Suffa (Matthew Lambert) and MC Pressure (Daniel Smith) met at Blackwood High School. DJ Next (Ben Hare) performed all of the Turntablist/ DJ work for the group and regularly competed in the local DMC tournaments. Hooded Puppets, a short-lived live instrumental group, comprising Chris Lambert (bass), Kenny Kreuper (drums) and Lee Moore (saxophone), contribute on two tracks on the EP.
