''A Galician in Mexico'' (Spanish: ''Una Gallega en México'') is a 1949 Mexican comedy film directed by Julián Soler and starring Niní Marshall, Joaquín Pardavé, and Alma Rosa Aguirre. Wilt p.125 It was shot at the Azteca Studios in Mexico City. The film's sets were designed by the art director Jorge Fernández. Julián Soler
Julián Díaz Pavia (17 February 1907 – 5 May 1977), better known by the stage name Julián Soler, was a Mexican film director, actor, and screenwriter of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. In his career spanning half a century, Soler received two Ariel Award nominations. Early life Julián Soler was born in Ciudad Jiménez, Chihuahua, as Julián Díaz Pavía on 17 February 1907 to Domingo Díaz García and Irene Pavía Soler. He was the elder brother of Mercedes Soler and the younger brother of Fernando Soler, Andrés Soler, and Domingo Soler. His family is known as the Soler Dynasty. Leticia Lilia Amezcua Prado (30 March 1928 – 22 May 2006), known as Lilia Prado, was a Mexican actress and dancer. Noted for her beauty and on-screen sensuality, she was a famous star and sex symbol of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Prado began her career in 1947 as an extra in films, and received her first leading role in '' Confidencias de un ruletero'' (1949). Irma Aguirre Martínez (born 21 December 1934), commonly known as Irma Dorantes, is a Mexican actress. Career Her first film, ''Los tres huastecos'', was released in 1948. Dorantes participated in many Mexican films of the 1950s and 1960s. In 1963, she was nominated for a Silver Goddess Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in ''Sol en llamas'' (1962). Fernando Casanova - born Fernando Gutiérrez López; (24 November 1925 – 16 November 2012) was a Mexican actor who began his career during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, and in the 1960s reached the height of his success, becoming one of the most popular actors at the time. Jorge Alberto Negrete Moreno (; 30 November 1911 – 5 December 1953) was a Mexican singer and actor. He specialized in the musical genre of ranchera. His posthumous album "Fiesta Mexicana Volumen II" has been ranked by critics at No. 163 on their list of the greatest Latin albums of all time.
