The A Eighth Avenue Express is a rapid transit service in the B Division (New York City Subway), B Division of the New York City Subway. Its route emblem, or "bullet", is colored since it is a part of the IND Eighth Avenue Line in Manhattan. The A operates 24 hours daily between Inwood–207th Street (IND Eighth Avenue Line), 207th Street in Inwood, Manhattan and Far Rockaway–Mott Avenue station, Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway, Queens. During daytime hours, alternate service operates to and from Ozone Park–Lefferts Boulevard station, Lefferts Boulevard in South Ozone Park, Queens. During rush hours, five scheduled trips in the peak direction operate from Rockaway Park–Beach 116th Street station, Beach 116th Street in Rockaway Park, Queens to Manhattan in the morning and back from Manhattan in the afternoon. R211 (New York City Subway Car)
The R211 is a class of New Technology Train (NTT) subway cars built for the New York City Transit Authority. Being built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Rolling Stock Company, Kawasaki Railcar Manufacturing for the B Division (NYCS), B Division of the New York City Subway and for the Staten Island Railway (SIR), they will replace aging subway car models: all R44 (New York City Subway car), R44 cars on the SIR, plus all R46 (New York City Subway car), R46 and some R68 (New York City Subway car), R68 subway cars. The order is split into three parts: R211A and R211T cars for the subway and R211S cars for the SIR. IND Fulton Street Line
The IND Fulton Street Line is a rapid transit line of the IND Division of the New York City Subway, running from the Cranberry Street Tunnel under the East River through central Brooklyn to a terminus in Ozone Park, Queens. The IND Rockaway Line branches from it just east of Rockaway Boulevard. The A train runs express during daytime hours and local at night on the underground portion of the line; it runs local on the elevated portion of the line at all times. The Church Avenue station is an express metro station, station on the IND Culver Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Church and McDonald Avenues in Kensington, Brooklyn, it is served by the F (New York City Subway service), F and G (New York City Subway service), G trains at all times (the latter of which terminates here), and by the Fd (New York City Subway service), <F> train during rush hours in the peak direction. Bergen Street (IND Culver Line)
The Bergen Street station is a station on the IND Culver Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Bergen Street and Smith Street on the border of Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill in Brooklyn. It is served by the F and G trains at all times. The Bergen Street station was constructed by the Independent Subway System (IND). It opened on March 20, 1933, as the original terminus of the Culver Line, which was known as the Smith Street Line or the South Brooklyn Line at the time. Jay Street–MetroTech Station
The Jay Street–MetroTech station is a New York City Subway station complex on the IND Fulton Street, IND Culver, and BMT Fourth Avenue lines. The complex is located in the vicinity of MetroTech Center (near Jay and Willoughby Streets) in Downtown Brooklyn. It is served by the A, F, and R trains at all times; the C train at all times except late nights; the N train during late nights only; and a few rush-hour W and <F> trains in the peak direction. The complex consists of two distinct, perpendicular stations. The Independent Subway System (IND; formerly the ISS) was a rapid transit rail system in New York City that is now part of the New York City Subway. It was first constructed as the IND Eighth Avenue Line, Eighth Avenue Line in Manhattan in 1932.
