The Iowa Barnstormers are a professional indoor football team based in Des Moines, Iowa, that competes in the Indoor Football League (IFL). They play their home games at Wells Fargo Arena, known in indoor football circles as "The Well". Several teams called the Iowa Barnstormers have played in different indoor football leagues since 1995. The original Arena Football League team played in Des Moines' Veterans Memorial Auditorium from 1995 to 2001, and subsequently relocated to Uniondale, New York, where they were known as the New York Dragons. Carlos Martinez (born June 4, 1980) is an American former professional football placekicker. His career included stints in af2 for the Fresno Frenzy, in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the Dallas Desperados, and in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. The Chicago Rush were a professional arena football team based in Rosemont, Illinois. The team was founded in 2001 and played in the Arena Football League's Central Division. The Rush qualified for the playoffs in 11 of 12 AFL seasons, during which they won ArenaBowl XX in 2006 and captured five division titles. He currently serves as the assistant special teams coach for the Los Angeles Chargers, and is the brother of former NFL placekicker Robbie Gould. Gould has six years of experience coaching special teams, including three seasons at the collegiate level with Syracuse University from 2012 to 2014. College career Gould went to the University of Virginia and played for the Virginia Cavaliers football team.
