The A87 is a major road in the Highland region of Scotland. It runs west from its junction with the A82 road at Invergarry (), along the north shores of Loch Garry and Loch Cluanie, then down through Glen Shiel and along Loch Duich to Kyle of Lochalsh before crossing the Skye Bridge to Kyleakin, Broadford, and Portree, before terminating at Uig in the north of the Isle of Skye. Its total length is ; it is a primary route for all of its length. Sconser
Sconser () is a small croft (land), crofting township on the island of Skye, in Scotland, situated on the south shore of Loch Sligachan. The main A87 road, A87 road of Skye passes through Sconser and the ferry to Raasay departs from the pier. Less than to the east is the 9-hole Isle Of Skye golf course. Immediately to the south is Glamaig which can be climbed via An Coileach (The Cockerel). Sligachan
Sligachan () is a small settlement on Skye, Scotland. It is close to the Cuillin mountains and provides a good viewpoint for seeing the Cuillin, Black Cuillin mountains. Amenities Sligachan is situated at the junction of the roads from Portree, Dunvegan, and Broadford, Skye, Broadford. The hotel was built at this road junction around 1830. Many early climbers chose this as a spot to start ascents of the Cuillin. Today there is also a campsite and bunkhouse adjacent to the hotel.
