A445 Road
The A445 road is a road in Warwickshire, England. It runs between the town of Warwick and the A45, also passing through the north of Leamington Spa. The road provides the major link between Leamington/Warwick and north-east Warwickshire, including Rugby and the M45/ M1 motorways. The M45/M1 provided the major route to London until the early 1990s but have now been superseded by the M40, which passes to the south of the Leamington/Warwick conurbation. Route The A445 begins in central Warwick at a junction with the A425 as Smith Street, and the first part of it is single carriageway. It then merges into the A429 very briefly before heading towards Leamington. It forms the main road from Warwick to Leamington, crossing into the latter town at the Portobello Bridge over the River Avon near that river's junction with the River Leam. Stretton-on-Dunsmore
Stretton-on-Dunsmore is a village and civil parish in the English county of Warwickshire. Its population in the 2001 Census was recorded as 1,143, rising slightly to 1,159 at the 2011 Census. In the 19th century the population was 634. The village is situated just south of the A45 road, approximately midway between Rugby and Coventry. Administratively, Stretton is part of the borough of Rugby. Stretton means "settlement on a Roman Road" (from the Old English stræt and tun). In this case the road is Fosse Way. Lillington is a suburb of Leamington Spa, in the civil parish of Royal Leamington Spa, in the Warwick District in the county of Warwickshire, England. Historically a village which existed before the time of the ''Domesday Book'' (1086), it was incorporated into the borough of Leamington in 1890. Lillington is a ward of Warwick District Council and Royal Leamington Spa Town Council. Geography Lillington itself has two main areas – the new centre based around Crown Way which contains shops, dry cleaners and a post office. A452 Road
The A452 is a road in England, which runs from Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire to Brownhills in the West Midlands. It is the major link to the M6 motorway for both Leamington and Warwick in addition to serving as Leamington's link to the M40 motorway and to Coventry. Between Brownhills and Kenilworth it follows the line of the ancient drover's road called the Welsh Road, which probably has pre-Roman origins. Route The A452 starts south of Leamington Spa with two separate spurs running to junctions 13 (southbound) and 14 (northbound) of the M40 motorway. The road leading to J14 was originally part of the A41. These meet and the road heads into Leamington along Europa Way, a road newly created at the same time as the M40 extension in that area.
