A13 Highway (Kazakhstan)
The A13 (before 2011 also known as P393) is a national highway in the northern part of Kazakhstan, that connects Kokshetau with Kazakhstan's border with Russia. After crossing the border with Russia, the highway continues to Omsk as P393. The highway is around long. Since Soviet times it has sometimes been called Kokshetau — Omsk Highway. Today the highway stretches through two regions and ends at the Bidaik border checkpoint. History Until 2011, the A-13 route was designated as P393. North Kazakhstan Region ( kk, Солтүстік Қазақстан облысы, translit=Soltüstık Qazaqstan oblysy; russian: Северо-Казахстанская область, translit=Severo-Kazakhstanskaya oblast) is a region of Kazakhstan, with a population of 558 700. Lake Kopa ( kk, Қопа, ; ) is a lake in the city of Kokshetau, located on the territory of Akmola Region close to the foot of Kokshetau Elevation in the northern part of Kazakhstan. Akmola Region ( kz, Ақмола облысы, translit=Aqmola oblysy; russian: Акмолинская область, Akmolinskaya oblast) is a centrally located region of Kazakhstan. Its capital is Kokshetau. Bidaik ( kk, Бидайық, translit=Bıdaıyq) is a land border crossing point between Kazakhstan and Russia on the Kazakhstan side. It is located near the village of Bidaik, Ualikhanov District, North Kazakhstan Region. The checkpoint/crossing is situated on autoroute ().
