A.D.O.R.
Eddy Castellanos Sr. (September 26, 1969 – January 1, 2025), known professionally as A.D.O.R., was an American hip hop artist whose work includes the Pete Rock-produced hit "Let It All Hang Out" (Atlantic, 1992), and "One for the Trouble" (Atlantic, 1994), produced by K-Def. The latter has been sampled extensively in later songs, most famously in " Renegade Master" by Roger "Wildchild" McKenzie. Biography Early life and career Castellanos was born in Washington Heights, New York City. His father was a musician by profession, and as a child Castellanos attended his shows. At six years of age he moved with his family to Mount Vernon, New York, later to be known in hip hop circles as "money earnin' Mount Vernon" due to the preponderance of rap stars it produced. K-Def
K-Def (full name Kevin Hansford) (born June 17, 1970) is an American, New Jersey–based, hip hop producer/ DJ who has been actively involved in the music industry since the early 1990s. He has recently produced music for artists such as Ghostface Killah and Puff Daddy. K-Def earned critical praise early in his career for his work with Marley Marl on the album '' Here Come the Lords'' by the hip hop group Lords of the Underground. Among the songs from that album that benefited from K-Def's production work include the hits " Funky Child" and " Chief Rocka". Biography K-Def was also a member of the duo Real Live, which released one album ''The Turnaround: A Long Awaited Drama'' on Big Beat/Atlantic Records in 1996. Peter O. Phillips (born June 21, 1970), better known by his stage name Pete Rock, is an American record producer, DJ and rapping, rapper. He is widely recognized as one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time, and is often mentioned alongside DJ Premier, RZA, and Q-Tip (musician), Q-Tip as one of the mainstays of 1990s East Coast hip hop production. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s as one half of the critically acclaimed group Pete Rock & CL Smooth. Early on in his career, he was also famed for his remix work. Joseph Kirkland (born April 5, 1968), better known by his stage name Diamond D (or simply Diamond), is an American hip hop MC and record producer from The Bronx, New York City, and one of the founding members of the Diggin' in the Crates Crew, abbreviated as D.I.T.C. Early years Growing up in Forest Houses in The Bronx, Diamond D was influenced by local DJs, DJ Hutch and DJ Supreme. During his youth the two DJs would let him perform on their turntables. At the beginning of his career as a producer, Diamond spent many hours at Jazzy Jay's studio on Allerton Avenue in The Bronx. "Renegade Master" is a song by English DJ/producer Wildchild, released as a single in October 1995 by Hi-Life Recordings. It reached No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart. The previous single, "Legends of the Dark Black Pt 2 (Renegade Master Mix)" is the same as "Renegade Master", just with a different title, which reached No. 34.
