Nicholas Neil Carter (born March 16, 1978), better known by his stage name Murs, is an American rapping, rapper and singer. It's a Wonderful World Music Group is an independent record label, founded by hip hop producer 9th Wonder in 2008. History 9th Wonder founded It's a Wonderful World Music Group shortly after leaving the group Little Brother (group), Little Brother. The idea of starting his own label was given to him by a fiance of one of the members of his production team. The company initially had distribution from Warner Music Group under Asylum Records, Asylum and Warner Bros. Records. However, creative differences between 9th and Asylum Records were the primary delay behind the release of his 2011 album ''The Wonder Years''. Tsidi Ibrahim (born November 26, 1976), known professionally as Jean Grae, is a multidisciplinary artist and writer. She emerged in New York City's underground hip-hop scene and developed an international following. ''The Listening'' is the debut album of North Carolina trio Little Brother. It was released on February 25, 2003, on ABB Records. Overview As the main producer for the group, 9th Wonder's instrumentals consist of chopped and manipulated samples of old soul records, reminiscent of Pete Rock and DJ Premier. Complementing the backdrops are MC's Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh with their tag-team wordplay and raps. On "Speed", they rap about the pressures of working a regular job while trying to survive in the rat race, while on "Make Me Hot", they make fun of people who hassle them for beats and studio time. They also do some uncanny impressions of old school era MC's on "So Fabulous". ''God's Stepson'' is an album by hip hop producer 9th Wonder (formerly one third of the group Little Brother (band), Little Brother). It was an unofficial remix of Nas's '' God's Son'' album of 2002. Background Released through internet outlets in 2003, the album began the trend for homemade remix projects, which reached fever pitch with Jay-Z's '' The Black Album'' remixes (of which 9th also submitted an entry). It was well received by critics and fans alike for its re-interpretation of what many considered to be a return-to-form album from Nas. In particular, the album is responsible for popularizing remixes of whole albums back-to-front, and also for establishing 9th Wonder amongst the premier league of hip hop producers. 9th Wonder didn't create the mix with a view to generate a buzz or promote his skills saying, "I didn't even think anybody was going to hear it". ''God's Son'' is the sixth studio album by American rapper Nas. It was released on December 13, 2002, by Ill Will and Columbia Records. Production took place during 2001 to 2002, and was handled by several producers, including Salaam Remi, Chucky Thompson, Ron Browz, Eminem, and The Alchemist.
