	99th Composite Brigade (Bangladesh) The 99th Composite Brigade () is a brigade formation of the Bangladesh Army. It was raised per the project "Establishment of 99 Composite Brigade for Safety and Security of Padma Multipurpose Bridge" and army development project " Forces Goal 2030". History On 19 September 2013, PM Sheikh Hasina raised the flag of newly established 99 Composite Brigade at Army Aviation Hangar. The flag raising of 58 East Bengal, 34 BIR and 20 Engineering Construction Battalion were hoisted on the same day. The unit would need around 600mn taka ($7.5mn) annually which will be allocated from the funds of the army. In 2014, army sought 326-acre land & Tk 17,740 million over four years to build the security installations for the bridge on both sides of the mega infrastructure. 	99th Mountain Brigade The 99th Mountain Brigade, formerly the 99th Indian Infantry Brigade, is an infantry formation of the Indian Army. The brigade was formed in April 1941 at Lucknow. The brigade was then assigned to the 34th Indian Infantry Division in October 1941, and formed part of the garrison of Ceylon. In October 1944, the brigade was reassigned to the 17th Indian Infantry Division and took part in the Burma Campaign. In June 1945 it was temporarily attached to the 19th Indian Infantry Division before returning to the 17th Division in August. The unit was re-raised 15 November 1960 at Ambala for the 17th Infantry Division. It was detached from the division and served in the Congo with ONUC from 1961 to March 1963. A squadron of 63 Cavalry served with the brigade in the Congo. 	99th Brigade (Iraq) Jaysh al-Mu'ammal (), also known as Liwa al-Mu'ammal or as the Popular Mobilization Forces' 99th Brigade, is a Shia Islamist Iraqi private militia that is led by Sa'ad Sawar and has fought in the Syrian Civil War and Iraqi Civil War. Founded as a splinter faction of the Sadrist Movement, Jaysh al-Mu'ammal is supported by Iran and former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. History Jaysh al-Mu'ammal reportedly emerged due to disputes among the Iraqi Sadrist Movement.
