''99 to Beat'' is a British game show where 100 contestants are reduced each round until one person wins the cash prize. The show is hosted by Adam and Ryan Thomas. The first series was premiered on ITV on 22 March 2025. Format ''99 to Beat'' is based on the Belgian TV format ''Homo Universalis A polymath or polyhistor is an individual whose knowledge spans many different subjects, known to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve specific problems. Ryan James Thomas (born 10 June 1984) is a British former actor. He is known for playing the role of Jason Grimshaw on ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' from 2000 until 2016. In 2018, he played Rafael Humphreys in Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', and won the twenty-second series of ''Celebrity Big Brother''. Thomas announced his retirement from acting in 2021, however has continued his work in television and won the sixteenth series of ''Dancing on Ice'' in 2024.
