77th Venice International Film Festival
The 77th annual Venice International Film Festival was held from 2 to 12 September 2020, at Venice Lido in Italy. Albeit in a "more restrained format" due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival held all its screenings with public presence. Australian actress Cate Blanchett was Jury President of the main competition. Italian actress Anna Foglietta hosted the opening and closing nights of the festival. The Golden Lion was awarded to ''Nomadland'' by Chloé Zhao. The festival opened with '' The Ties'' by Daniele Luchetti, the first Italian film after 11 years to open the festival. And closed with ''You Came Back'' by Stefano Mordini. Lorenzo Mattotti (born 24 January 1954) is an Italian comics artist and illustrator. His illustrations have been published in magazines such as ''Cosmopolitan (magazine), Cosmopolitan'', ''Vogue (magazine), Vogue'', ''The New Yorker'', ''Le Monde'' and ''Vanity Fair (magazine), Vanity Fair''.
