The 63rd David di Donatello ceremony, presented by the Accademia del Cinema Italiano, was held on 21 March 2018 to honor the best in Italian cinema in 2017. The nominations were announced on 14 February 2018. ''Tenderness'' (also titled ''La tenerezza'' and ''Tenerezza: Holding Hands'') is a 2017 Italian drama film directed by Gianni Amelio and starring Elio Germano, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Micaela Ramazzotti, Greta Scacchi and Renato Carpentieri. Donato Carrisi (born 25 March 1973 in Martina Franca in Apulia) is an Italian writer, director and screenwriter. Ferzan Özpetek (, ; born 3 February 1959) is a Turkish-Italian film director and screenwriter, residing in Italy since 1978. Biography Ferzan Özpetek was born in Istanbul in 1959. In 1976, he decided to move to Italy to study Cinema History at Sapienza University of Rome. He completed his education attending art history and costume design classes at the Navona Academy. He also attended director classes at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art. After receiving stage experience with Julian Beck's Living Theatre, he moved to the cinema landscape, by working as a director assistant to Massimo Troisi, Maurizio Ponzi, Ricky Tognazzi, Sergio Citti and Francesco Nuti. Paolo Genovese (born 20 August 1966) is an Italian director and screenwriter. Domenico Procacci
Domenico Procacci (born 8 February 1960) is an Italian film producer. Life and career Born in Bari, Procacci debuted as a producer in the late 1980s, when he co-founded with Renzo Rossellini and others the production company Vertigo. In 1990 he founded the company Fandango, which debuted with a box office hit, Sergio Rubini's ''La stazione''. He soon specialized in producing small-budget art films directed by young directors.
