50 Years – Don't Stop
''50 Years – Don't Stop'' is a compilation album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on 16 November 2018, marking 50 years since the band's formation. Consisting of three CDs, the set spans the history of the band from 1967 to 2013. It was also released as a 5-LP set and a condensed single CD version. Unlike its predecessor, '' 25 Years – The Chain'' (1992), this album does not feature any previously unreleased material. It does, however, mark the first time certain tracks have been remastered or released in a physical format, as is the case with " Sad Angel". Other songs appear in their single edit form, like " Sands of Time" and " Heroes Are Hard to Find". Up until the release of ''50 Years'', these mixes had been out of print for decades. In November 2023, the album tallied its 260th week on the UK Albums Chart, making it the band's third-longest-charting album after '' Rumours'' and '' The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac''. Fleetwood Mac are a British-American Rock music, rock band formed in London in 1967 by the singer and guitarist Peter Green (musician), Peter Green. Green named the band by combining the surnames of the drummer, Mick Fleetwood, and the bassist, John McVie, who have remained with the band throughout its many line-up changes. David Wild
David Wild (born December 16, 1961) is an American writer and critic in the music and television industries and a contributing editor at ''Rolling Stone'' magazine. His published books include ''Friends: The Official Companion'' (1995), ''Seinfeld: The Totally Unauthorized Tribute'' (1998), ''Friends 'til the end'' (2004), and others. Wild hosted the television series ''Musicians'', which aired on Bravo! in 2001. His writing credits for television include over two dozen series and specials. Rhiannon (song)
"Rhiannon" (released as a single under the title "Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)") is a song written by Stevie Nicks and originally recorded by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac on their eponymous album in 1975; it was issued as a single the following year. The song's U.S. chart peak was in June 1976, when it hit no. 11. The song peaked at no. 46 in the UK singles chart for three weeks after re-release in February 1978. "Rhiannon" was voted no. 488 in The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time by ''Rolling Stone'' magazine. They also ranked the song number six on their list of the 50 greatest Fleetwood Mac songs. ''Fleetwood Mac'' is the tenth studio album by the British-American rock band of the same name, released on 11 July 1975 in the United States and on 1 August 1975 in the United Kingdom by Reprise Records. John McVie
John Graham McVie (; born 26 November 1945) is a British bass guitarist. He is best known as a member of the rock bands John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers from 1964 to 1967 and Fleetwood Mac since 1967. His surname, combined with that of drummer Mick Fleetwood, was the source for the band's name. He joined Fleetwood Mac shortly after its formation by guitarist Peter Green (musician), Peter Green in 1967, replacing temporary bass guitarist Bob Brunning. McVie and Fleetwood are the only two members of the group to appear on every Fleetwood Mac release, and for over fifty years have been the group's last remaining original (or almost original in McVie's case) members. Michael John Kells Fleetwood (born 24 June 1947) is a British musician, songwriter and actor. He is the drummer, co-founder, and leader of the rock band Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood, whose surname was merged with that of the group's bassist John McVie, John "Mac" McVie (the only two members to appear on every studio album during the band's run) to form the name of the band, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Fleetwood Mac in 1998. Lindsey Adams Buckingham (born October 3, 1949) is an American musician, record producer, and the lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the Rock music, rock band Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987 and 1997 to 2018.
