26th Parliament Of Turkey
The 26th Parliament of the Turkish Republic was elected in a snap general election held on 1 November 2015 to the Grand National Assembly. It succeeded the short-lived 25th Parliament of Turkey later in November and lasted until July 2018. The 550 members, elected through proportional representation from 85 electoral districts of Turkey Turkey, officially the Republic of Türkiye, is a country mainly located in Anatolia in West Asia, with a relatively small part called East Thrace in Southeast Europe. İsmail Kahraman
İsmail Kahraman (born 7 December 1940) is a Turkish politician from the AK Party who served as the 27th Speaker of the Grand National Assembly from 22 November 2015 to 9 July 2018. He has been the Member of Parliament for Istanbul's first electoral district since 1 November 2015, having previously served as an MP for Istanbul between 1995 and 2002. He also served as Minister of Culture from 1996 to 1997 in the government of Necmettin Erbakan as a member of the Islamist Welfare Party. Early life and career İsmail Kahraman was born in İkizdere in 1940 and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law. During his youth, he was the president of the Student's Community and of the National Turkish Students' Union. Talip Küçükcan
Talip Küçükcan (born in 1963) is Ambassador of Türkiye to the Republic of Indonesia, Timor-Leste and Asean since April 2023. He is a Turkish professor of sociology and a former politician from the Justice and Development Party (AKP), who has served as a Member of Parliament for Adana since 7 June 2015 until 24 June 2018. He was head of the Turkish Delegation to and the Deputy President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and member of Foreign Relations Committee at the Turkish Parliament between 2015 and 2017. Adnan Boynukara (born 4 February 1964) is a Turkish politician from the Justice and Development Party (AKP), who has served as a Member of Parliament for Adıyaman since 7 June 2015. Born in Adıyaman, he received his early education in Malatya and became a meteorology engineer. In 2009, he began working as a senior advisor in the Ministry of Justice. Ahmet Aydın (born 1 March 1971) is a Turkish politician of Kurdish origin from the Justice and Development Party (AKP), who served as a Member of Parliament for Adıyaman from 22 July 2007 to 14 May 2023. Born in the district of Kahta, Adıyaman, he graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and received further education at Marmara University. He worked as a freelance lawyer and also as a radiology technician at state hospitals. Meral Danış Beştaş (born 5 April 1967) is a Kurdish politician from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), who has served as a Member of Parliament since 23 June 2015. Mevlüt Karakaya (born 1 January 1963) is a Turkish politician from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), who has served as a Member of Parliament for Adana since 7 June 2015. Born in Adana, Karakaya graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He became a professor at the age of 37, having continued as an academic in the United States at Indiana University, Michigan State University and Purdue University. İbrahim Özdiş
İbrahim Özdiş (born 17 January 1956) is a Turkish politician from the Republican People's Party (CHP), who has served as a Member of Parliament for Adana since 7 June 2015. He previously served as a Social Democratic Populist Party (SHP) Member of Parliament for Adana between 1991 and 1995. Born in Adana, Özdiş graduated from Çukurova University as a construction engineer in 1979 and began a career in politics in the same year as a member of the CHP Adana branch Executive Board. After the party was shut down in the 1980 military coup, he became the Deputy Mayor of Adana and served between 1989 and 1991. Zülfikar İnönü Tümer
Zülfikar İnönü Tümer (born 1966) is a Turkish politician from the Republican People's Party (CHP), who has served as a Member of Parliament for Adana since 7 June 2015. Tümer graduated from Istanbul Technical University as a construction engineer and founded his own construction company shortly afterwards. He worked as an engineer for the construction of roads and bridges, as well as property restoration projects.
