Tennis
Tennis is a List of racket sports, racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent (singles (tennis), singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles (tennis), doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket strung with a cord to strike a hollow rubber tennis ball, ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's tennis court, court. The object is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. If a player is unable to return the ball successfully, the opponent scores a Point (tennis), point. Madison Keys
Madison Keys (born February 17, 1995) is an American professional tennis player. She has been WTA rankings, ranked as high as world No. 5 in women's singles by the Women's Tennis Association, WTA. Keys has won ten WTA Tour-level career singles titles, including the 2025 Australian Open – Women's singles, 2025 Australian Open, defeating two-time champion Aryna Sabalenka. She was also the runner-up at the 2017 US Open – Women's singles, 2017 US Open. Keys was inspired to start playing tennis after watching Venus Williams at Wimbledon Championships, Wimbledon on TV. Keys turned professional on her 14th birthday, becoming one of the youngest players to win a WTA Tour level match a few months later. Horacio Zeballos Jr. (, ; born 27 April 1985) is an Argentine professional tennis player. He reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 1 on 6 May 2024, becoming the first Argentinian man to achieve the feat. Marcel Granollers
Marcel Granollers Pujol (; ; born 12 April 1986) is a Spanish professional tennis player. He reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 1 on 6 May 2024, becoming the second Spanish man to achieve the feat (after Emilio Sánchez Vicario in 1989). He is a Grand Slam champion at the 2025 French Open with Horacio Zeballos. He also has a career-high singles ranking of No. 19 achieved on 23 July 2012. Granollers has won 34 ATP titles, 4 in singles and 30 in doubles, including also the 2012 ATP World Tour Finals in doubles with compatriot Marc López. 2025 French Open – Men's Doubles
Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos defeated Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski in the final, 6–0, 6–7(5–7), 7–5 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2025 French Open. It was both players' first major men's doubles title, following five previous runner-up finishes for Granollers and three for Zeballos. Marcelo Arévalo and Mate Pavić were the defending champions, but lost in the third round to Hugo Nys and Édouard Roger-Vasselin. Despite their loss, Arévalo and Pavić retained the world No. 1 doubles ranking after Harri Heliövaara lost in the quarterfinals. Andrea Vavassori (; born 5 May 1995) is an Italian professional tennis player. He has a career high ATP doubles ranking of world No. 6, achieved on 14 October 2024 and a singles ranking of world No. 128, achieved on 19 June 2023. Vavassori is a mixed doubles Grand Slam champion with Sara Errani, lifting the titles at the 2024 US Open – on their team debut at the event – and at the 2025 French Open. Simone Bolelli (; born 8 October 1985) is an Italian professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP ranking in doubles of World No. 6 achieved on 13 January 2025 and in singles of No. 36 achieved on 23 February 2009. Bolelli is a Grand Slam champion, having won the 2015 Australian Open doubles event with Fabio Fognini, together becoming the first male all-Italian pair to win a Major title in the Open Era. Henry Patten (born 6 May 1996) is a British professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He has been ranked by the ATP as high as world No. 3 in doubles, achieved on 27 January 2025. Patten is a two-time Grand Slam champion in doubles, having won the 2024 Wimbledon Championships and the 2025 Australian Open with Harri Heliövaara. He has won five career doubles titles on the ATP Tour and also 13 ATP Challenger titles, 11 with Julian Cash. He has been ATP rankings, ranked by the Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP as high as world No. 3 in doubles, achieved on 31 March 2025. Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten defeated Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori in the final, 6–7(16–18), 7–6(7–5), 6–3 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2025 Australian Open.
