2025 Czech Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in the Czech Republic by October 2025. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, the lower house of the Parliament, will be elected and the leader of the resultant government will become the Prime Minister. Background The constitution of the Czech Republic stipulates that an election to the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the Czech parliament, must be held every four years. Katerina Sakellaropoulou
Katerina Sakellaropoulou ( el, Κατερίνα Σακελλαροπούλου, Latn, el, Katerína Sakellaropoúlou, ; born 30 May 1956) is a Greek judge who has been the president of Greece since 13 March 2020. She was elected by the Hellenic Parliament to succeed Prokopis Pavlopoulos on 22 January 2020. Prior to her election as president, Sakellaropoulou served as president of the Council of State, the highest administrative court of Greece. She is the country's first female president. Biography Sakellaropoulou was born in Thessaloniki. Her parents are Nikolaos Sakellaropoulos, a former vice president of the Greek Supreme Court, and Aliki Paraskeva. 2025 Greek Presidential Election
Indirect presidential elections were held in Greece beginning on 25 January 2025 for the president of the Hellenic Republic. A second round was held on 31 January 2025 after no candidate won a majority in the Hellenic Parliament, with the same result as in the first. A third round of voting was held on 6 February 2025, where no candidate reached the reduced required majority of 180. The fourth round was held on 12 February 2025, where Konstantinos Tasoulas was elected as President of Greece. Zoran Milanović
Zoran Milanović (; born 30 October 1966) is a Croatian politician serving as President of Croatia since 19 February 2020. Prior to assuming the presidency, he was prime minister from 2011 to 2016 and president of the Social Democratic Party from 2007 to 2016. After graduating from the Zagreb Faculty of Law, Milanović started working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He served as Advisor at the Croatian mission to the European Union and NATO in Brussels from 1996 to 1999. During the same year he joined the Social Democratic Party.
