2025 Uttarakhand Local Elections
The 2025 Uttarakhand Municipal general elections were held on 23 January 2025 to elect members of 100 of the 102 regular municipalities in the state. Elections in Kichha and Narendranagar will be held later this year along panchayat elections. There are 11 Municipal Corporations, 45 Municipal Councils and 50 Nagar Panchayats in the state of Uttarakhand. Elections were conducted in all of the 11 municipal corporations, 43 municipal councils, and 47 nagar panchayats. The BJP won a lanslide victory, securing 10 out of 11 municipal coroporations and winning the maximum number of chairperson seats in municipal councils and notified area councils. Congress, on the other hand failed to win any municipal corporation but managed to win some municipal councils and performed well in notified area councils. Percentage Point

Roorkee
Roorkee (Rūṛkī; ) is a city and Municipal Corporations in India, municipal corporation in the Haridwar district of the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is from Haridwar, the district headquarters. Dehradun district () is a district in Garhwal which is a part of Uttarakhand state in northern India. The district headquarters is Dehradun, which has also served as the interim capital of Uttarakhand since its founding in 2000. Dehradun Municipal Corporation
The Dehradun Municipal Corporation is the civic or urban local body that governs the city of Dehradun in Uttarakhand, India. It is essentially the city government and differs from the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority, MDDA (Mussoorie Dehradun Development Board), which is a state run organisation. Structure This corporation consists of 100 wards and is headed by a mayor who presides over a deputy mayor and 99 other councillor, corporators representing the wards. Bahujan Samaj Party
The Bahujan Samaj Party ( BSP) is a political party in India that was formed to represent Bahujans (literally means "community in majority"), referring to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (OBC), along with Religious minorities in India, minorities.
