2025 U.S. Open Cup
The 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the 110th edition of the U.S. Open Cup, the knockout domestic cup competition of American soccer. It is organized by the United States Soccer Federation and will comprise 96 teams, 64 teams from all three professional tiers of the United States soccer league system and 32 amateur teams in the "Open Division". The competition is scheduled to begin on March 18 and culminate in the final on October 1. Los Angeles FC is the current champion, having won the 2024 edition but will not be defending the trophy. The full format was announced on January 28, 2025. Major League Soccer (MLS) will send 16 teams who enter in the Round of 32; teams that are playing in the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup are excluded from the competition. Los Angeles FC
Los Angeles Football Club, commonly referred to as LAFC, is an American professional Association football team based in Los Angeles. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The club was established on October 30, 2014, and began play during the 2018 season as an expansion team. The club plays their home matches at Banc of California Stadium, a soccer-specific stadium located in Exposition Park. Foro SC (stylized as FORO SC) is an American soccer club based in Dallas, Texas. The club plays in the Central Region's Texas North Conference in the United Premier Soccer League, a national amateur league that competes below the three professional tiers of American soccer. The Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) is a United States Adult Soccer Association and a National Independent Soccer Association affiliated Amateur Elite League that includes teams from the Eastern United States. 2024 National Amateur Cup
The 2024 National Amateur Cup was the 100th edition of the National Amateur Cup, a knockout cup competition open to amateur teams affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). It will be the sixth edition of the tournament to award its men's champion a spot in the U.S. Open Cup. SC MesoAmerica (CA) and NTX Image (TX) were the defending Men's and Women's National Amateur Cup champions, respectively. However, SC MesoAmerica did not participate in regional qualifying while NTX Image failed to defend their Region III title.
