2025 Tour Of The Alps
The 2025 Tour of the Alps is a road cycling stage race that takes place between 21 and 25 April 2025 in the Austrian state of Tyrol and in the Italian provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol, which all make up the Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino Euroregion. The race is rated as a category 2.Pro event on the 2025 UCI ProSeries calendar, and is the 48th edition of the Tour of the Alps. 2025 UCI ProSeries
The 2025 UCI ProSeries will be the sixth season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The calendar consists of 58 events, of which 35 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 23 are stage races (2.Pro). There are 51 events in Europe, five in Asia, and one in the United States. Innichen
Innichen (; ; , all tied to Saint Candidus) is a municipality and a village in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is located in the Puster Valley on the Drava River, on Italy's border with Austria. It hosts Italy’s International Snow Sculpture Festival each year. Innichen is renowned for its ski resorts, and it includes the natural park of Drei Zinnen–Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Geography Innichen borders the municipalities of Toblach, Innervillgraten (Austria), Sexten, and Sillian (Austria). History Innichen is home to the Innichen Abbey, founded in the late 8th century (769) by duke Tassilo III of Bavaria, belonging to the Prince-Bishopric of Freising. Sterzing
Sterzing (; ) is a comune in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is the main town of the southern Wipptal, and the Eisack River flows through the medieval town. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy"). History Origin The town traces its roots to 14 B.C., when Nero Claudius Drusus founded a military camp called "Vipitenum" along the road between what are now Italy and Germany. Ancient ruins found nearby include a sepulchral monument dedicated to Postumia Vittorina, a milestone of the Imperator Septimius Severus period and a stone altar dedicated to Lord Mithras. Giulio Ciccone (born 20 December 1994) is an Italian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Ciccone's career highlights include several stage wins at the Giro d'Italia and the mountains classification at the 2023 Tour de France.
