The 2025 Thailand Open (officially known as the Toyota Thailand Open 2025 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament held at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, from 13 to 18 May 2025. The tournament had a total prize money of $475,000. Tournament The 2025 Thailand Open was the eleventh tournament of the 2025 BWF World Tour and was part of the Thailand Open championships, which have been held since 1984. The tournament was organized by the Badminton Association of Thailand and was sanctioned by the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Points distribution Below is the points distribution table for each phase of the tournament based on the BWF points system for the BWF World Tour Super 500 event. Nimibutr Stadium
Nimibutr Stadium (sometimes referred to as Nimibutr Gymnasium) is an indoor sports arena located in Bangkok, Thailand. The capacity of the arena is 5,600 spectators. It was built in 1963 and is part of the National Stadium complex. It is used for a variety of indoor sports including badminton, handball, basketball, futsal, gymnastics and boxing. It has also hosted concerts. BWF World Tour
The BWF World Tour is a Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles (men's and women's) and doubles (men's, women's and mixed). The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017. The BWF World Tour are divided into six levels, namely World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, and Super 300 in order (part of the HSBC World Tour). One other category of tournament, the BWF Tour Super 100 level, also offers ranking points.
