2025 Primera B De Chile
The 2025 Primera B de Chile, also known as Liga de Ascenso Caixun 2025 due to sponsorship by electronics manufacturer Caixun, is the 71st season of the Primera B de Chile, Chile's second-tier football league. The season began on 21 February and is scheduled to end on 2 November 2025. Format The competition is played under the same format used in the most recent seasons, with a regular stage and a play-off tournament (known as ''Liguilla''). In the regular season, the 16 participating teams play each other in a double round-robin tournament (once at home and once away) for a total of 30 matches, with the top team at the end of the 30 rounds winning the championship as well as promotion to the Chilean Primera División for the following season. The teams placing from second to eighth place at the end of the regular season will enter the Liguilla to decide the second promoted team, in which the regular season runners-up will receive a bye to the semi-finals. Campeonato Primera B () is the second tier in the Chilean football league system, and is organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional. It was established in 1952 as ''Segunda División'', and later renamed in 1996 to the current name. Estadio Municipal "Zorros del Desierto" de Calama ( ) is a football stadium in Calama, Chile owned by the Municipality of Calama, it is the home field of the Cobreloa football team and sometimes used by Chile national football team to serve as home ground. This stadium was used like homeground of Deportes Iquique on Copa Libertadores 2017 and Cobresal in Copa Libertadores 2024. This is the Fifteenth largest stadium in Chile by Capacity in 2024. Calama, Chile
Calama is a city and commune in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. It is the capital of El Loa Province, part of the Antofagasta Region. Calama is one of the driest cities in the world with average annual precipitation of just . The River Loa, Chile's longest, flows through the city. Calama has a population of 147,886 (2012 census). 2025 Chilean Primera División
The 2025 Chilean Primera División, known as Liga de Primera Itaú 2025 for sponsorship purposes, is the 95th season of the Chilean Primera División, Chile's top-flight football league. The season began on 14 February and is scheduled to end on 7 December 2025. Colo-Colo are the defending champions. Teams 16 teams take part in the league in this season: the top 14 teams from the 2024 tournament, plus the 2024 Primera B champions Deportes La Serena and Deportes Limache, winners of the promotion play-offs. La Serena secured promotion to the top tier after two years on 29 September 2024, winning the Primera B tournament with a 1–0 win over Deportes Recoleta. Meanwhile, Deportes Limache achieved a first-ever promotion to Primera División on 7 December 2024, after defeating Rangers on penalties in the promotion play-offs finals.
