2025 Premier Lacrosse League Season
The 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Season is the 7th season of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The regular season began on May 30 and will run through August 9th. The playoffs will run from August 22 through September 14. Tour map Tour venues Schedule The addition of home cities and conferences brought slight changes to the schedule. Every team has one weekend where they are the home team and play a weekend doubleheader. There are two weekends (Chicago and Fairfield) when there is no home team and every team plays. Each team will play in-conference opponents twice and out-of-conference opponents once. Premier Lacrosse League
The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is a professional field lacrosse league in the United States. The league comprises eight teams. Its inaugural season debuted on June 1, 2019, and included a 14-week tour-based schedule taking place in 12 major-market cities. The league was founded by the American professional lacrosse player Paul Rabil and his brother Mike Rabil. Investors include the Chernin Group, the Raine Group and Joseph Tsai. History In September 2018, Bloomberg reported that Paul Rabil would be launching a new professional lacrosse league. The PLL would be a direct competitor to the more established Major League Lacrosse. The new league would provide professional lacrosse players with salaries, health care, and league equity. The Carolina Chaos are a professional field lacrosse team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, that competes in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The New York Atlas are a professional field lacrosse team based in Albany, New York, that competes in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). History The Atlas LC was one of the six founding members of the PLL for the 2019 season. The inaugural roster was made up of several former Johns Hopkins players, most notably PLL co-founder, Paul Rabil, as well as Tucker Durkin, Ryan Brown, John Crawley, and Joel Tinney. The Atlas has an unofficial rivalry with the Whipsnakes as several of the Whipsnakes players are former Maryland Terrapins, a collegiate rivalry carrying over to the pros. The Bulls struggled in their first 2 seasons going 7-10. However, in 2021 and 2022 they were among the league's best with a combined record of 13-9. Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium is a football stadium in Albany, New York, owned and operated by the University at Albany, SUNY and hosts the school's football team, as well as their men's soccer, women's soccer, and women's field hockey programs.
