2025 PWHL Playoffs
The 2025 PWHL playoffs was the playoff tournament of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) for the 2024–25 season. The playoffs began on May 7, 2025, and concluded with the PWHL Finals on May 26, 2025, with the Minnesota Frost winning their second consecutive Walter Cup. The Montreal Victoire were the first team to make the playoffs, when they defeated the Minnesota Frost 4–1 on March 26. The Toronto Sceptres were the second team to qualify when the New York Sirens defeated the Frost on April 27. It was the first time the Ottawa Charge made the playoffs. As a result, the City of Ottawa renamed a section of Bank Street "Charge Avenue" in honour of the team. The team qualified for the playoffs in their last game of the season, when Kateřina Mrázová scored in overtime for the Charge, who beat the Toronto Sceptres 2–1. Xcel Energy Center
Xcel Energy Center is a multipurpose arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Completed in 2000 and often called "The X" by fans, it is named for its locally based corporate sponsor Xcel Energy. With an official capacity of 17,954, the arena has four spectator levels: one suite level and three for general seating. The building is home to the National Hockey League, NHL's Minnesota Wild and the Minnesota Frost of the Professional Women's Hockey League, PWHL. Ann-Renée Desbiens
Ann-Renée Desbiens (born April 10, 1994) is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender for the Montreal Victoire and member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team. She participated at the 2015 IIHF Women's World Championship, the 2018 Winter Olympics., the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship, the 2022 Winter Olympics, and the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championship. Playing career Desbiens was the first female player drafted to the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League, the second-highest men's junior league in Québec after the QMJHL. Marie-Philip Poulin (born March 28, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre (ice hockey), centre and Captain (ice hockey), captain for the Montreal Victoire of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Maureen Margaret Murphy (born December 15, 1999) is an American professional ice hockey player for the Montreal Victoire of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Emily Clark (ice Hockey)
Emily Clark (born November 28, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for the Ottawa Charge of the Professional Women's Hockey League. Clark has competed for Team Canada at the junior and senior level, beginning in 2011. She made her senior debut with Canada at the 2014 4 Nations Cup. She went on to compete with the Canadian national team at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she helped Canada win a silver medal, and the 2022 Winter Olympics, where she helped Canada win gold. Rebecca Leslie (born May 8, 1996) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Ottawa Charge of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Playing career Across four seasons at Boston University, Leslie scored 171 points in 139 games, and captained the team in her final year. Mannon Marie McMahon (born July 29, 2001) is an American professional ice hockey forward for the Ottawa Charge of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She played college ice hockey at Minnesota Duluth. Early life McMahon attended Maple Grove Senior High School in Maple Grove, Minnesota, where she played ice hockey and soccer. Catherine Dubois
Catherine Dubois (born July 29, 1995) is a Canadian ice hockey forward, signed with the Montreal Victoire of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She was the first Montréal Carabins player to be invited to a senior Canadian national team camp. Career Dubois played on boy's teams until the age of 15. Aneta Tejralová (born 4 January 1996) is a Czech professional ice hockey player for PWHL Seattle of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and captain of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team. Shiann Darkangelo (born November 28, 1993) is an American professional ice hockey player for the Montreal Victoire of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Ashton Bell (born December 7, 1999) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for PWHL Vancouver of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
