2025 PDC Challenge Tour Series
The 2025 PDC Challenge Tour, known as the Winmau Challenge Tour for sponsorship reasons, is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). It consists of 24 darts tournaments on the 2025 PDC Pro Tour. The series is being held over four weekends of five events, and one weekend of four events. The Challenge Tour is the PDC's second-tier system for players who competed at the 2025 Qualifying Schools but did not win a PDC Tour Card. Under ''PDC Order of Merit Rule 4.2'', the Challenge Tour Order of Merit rankings are used to top up Players Championship (PC) events up to 128 entries, should any of the current Tour Card holders not enter the PC tournaments. Winmau
Winmau, pronounced "win more", is a Welsh manufacturer of dartboards, other darts equipment and title sponsor of the oldest darts tournament still running, the Winmau World Masters. Founded in 1945, Winmau was acquired by rival dartboard manufacturer Nodor in 2002, headed by John Bluck, with both brands remaining in production. The company is based in Bridgend in south Wales although manufacturing of the boards takes place in Kenya. Bluck's eldest son Vince is now the managing director. History Origins The company was founded as H.A. Kicks in 1945 by Harry Kicks using his demob money. The company manufactured elm dartboards that were hand-painted until the early 1950s when graphic transfers began to be used for the numbers and coloured segments. Nine-dart Finish
A nine-dart finish, also known as a nine-darter, is a perfect leg or single game in the sport of darts. The object of the game is to score a set number of points, most commonly 501; in order to win, a player must reach the target total exactly and hit a double scoring area with their last dart. When the target is 501, the minimum number of darts needed to reach it is nine. For example, one way to achieve a nine-dart finish is to score 60 (treble 20) on each of the first seven throws, then a 57 (treble 19) on the eighth, and lastly a 24 (double 12) on the ninth. It is regarded as an extremely difficult feat to achieve—even for the sport's top players—and is considered the highest single-game achievement in the sport, similar to a maximum 147 break in snooker or a 300-point game in bowling. Danny Van Trijp
Danny van Trijp (born 24 December 1996) is a Dutch darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won two titles on the 2022 PDC Challenge Tour. Career Van Trijp attended European Q-School in 2019, but never got farther than the last 16, missing out on a PDC Tour Card. He did then qualify as one of the Associate Member qualifiers for the 2019 European Darts Open in Leverkusen, Germany. However, he lost 6–3 to Adam Hunt in the first round. Michael Unterbuchner
Michael Unterbuchner (born 23 May 1988) is a German professional darts player who competes in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He previously played in British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments until it was dissolved in 2020, finishing as the runner-up at the 2018 BDO World Trophy. He reached the quarter-finals at the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts and obtained a PDC Tour Card in 2021, but lost his Tour Card at the end of 2022. Scott Waites
Scott Waites (born 17 February 1977) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion. He also won the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, becoming the only BDO representative to win the event. Keegan Brown (born 5 November 1992) is an English professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He has won two ranking PDC Players Championship titles. Brown reached the quarter-finals at the 2014 Grand Slam of Darts and the 2023 World Series Finals. In his youth career, Brown won the 2014 PDC World Youth Championship. Dragutin Horvat (born 8 January 1976) is a German professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He has won two titles on the PDC's secondary tour, the Challenge Tour. He made his first PDC European Tour quarter-final at the 2016 International Darts Open. Hildesheim

Mervyn King (born 15 March 1966) is an English professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events.
