2025 North Dakota State Bison Baseball Team
The 2025 North Dakota State Bison baseball team represented North Dakota State University during the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bison played home games at Newman Outdoor Field on NDSU's campus and were coached by fourth-year head coach Tyler Oakes. The Bison finished the season with a 21–34 overall record and a 13–15 conference record, which was good for 3rd in the Summit League. NDSU made the 2025 Summit League baseball tournament, Summit League tournament as the second seed, since the 2nd place team in the regular season (St. Thomas (Minnesota) Tommies, St. Thomas) was ineligible, and played Omaha Mavericks baseball, Omaha in the opening round. The Bison defeated the Mavericks and then defeated Oral Roberts Golden Eagles baseball, Oral Roberts in the semifinals to reach the championship games. The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States, from Minnesota in the east, to the Dakotas, Nebraska and Colorado to the West, and Missouri and Oklahoma to the South. UTRGV Baseball Stadium, originally Edinburg Stadium, is a stadium in Edinburg, Texas, United States. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home of the UTRGV Vaqueros of college baseball. It was also the home to the Edinburg Roadrunners of the Texas–Louisiana League/Central Baseball League/United League Baseball. The Roadrunners disbanded before the 2014 season. The stadium, which opened in 2001, holds 4,000 people, expandable to 14,000-16,000 for concerts and other special events. It includes a 17.8' x 13.6' diamondvision scoreboard and luxury boxes. The Lamar Cardinals baseball team represents Lamar University and competes in the Southland Conference of the NCAA's Division I after officially rejoining the conference on July 11, 2022. The team is coached by head coach, Will Davis following Jim Gilligan's retirement at the end of the 2016 season. Except for five seasons (1987–1991), the Cardinals baseball team had been coached by Jim Gilligan since 1973. Horner Ballpark is a ballpark in Dallas, Texas. It is the home park of the Dallas Baptist Patriots baseball team of the NCAA Division I Conference USA. It opened on February 15, 2013, and has been highly acclaimed by national media, including D1Baseball.com. The stadium is named for Joan and Andy Horner, who made the lead donation for the park. The Dallas Baptist Patriots baseball team represents Dallas Baptist University, which is located in Dallas, Dallas, Texas. The Patriots are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in Conference USA. They began competing in Division I in 2004 and joined the Missouri Valley Conference in 2014 after only one season with the Western Athletic Conference.
