2025 North Carolina Tar Heels Baseball Team
The 2025 North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Tar Heels play their home games at Boshamer Stadium as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They are led by head coach Scott Forbes, in his fifth season as head coach. Forbes was assisted by Bryant Gaines, Jesse Wierzbicki, and Jason Howell. Dave Arendas served as director of operations. Scott Forbes (baseball)
Scott Forbes (born August 4, 1974) is an American college baseball coach and former player, who is the current head baseball coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels. He played college baseball at Middle Georgia College before transferring in 1994 to North Carolina Wesleyan College where he played for head coach Mike Fox from 1995 to 1997. Coaching career In 1999, Forbes followed Fox to Fox's alma mater, North Carolina, to become an assistant coach. He left Chapel Hill to become an assistant coach for the Winthrop Eagles on August 27, 2002. He returned to UNC in 2006, and remained an assistant under Fox for the next 14 years. North Carolina Head Coach On August 7, 2020, Fox retired as the head baseball coach of the Tar Heels, and Forbes was named his successor. Mauldin is a city in Greenville County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 24,724 at the 2020 census, making it the 19th-most populous city in South Carolina. It is located in the Greenville-Anderson-Greer, SC Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Benjamin Griffith was awarded the first land grant in what is now called Mauldin in 1784. Clayton is a town in Johnston County, North Carolina, United States, and is considered a satellite town of Raleigh. As of 2020, Clayton's population was 26,307, up from 16,116 at the 2010 census. Hampton is a town in Hampton County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,808 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hampton County. The town and the county are named after Wade Hampton III, a Confederate general in the Civil War. History Hampton County was created from northwestern portions of Beaufort County in 1878 by the South Carolina General Assembly.
